  • Lost Acres

    Richard Williams

language (Shore Enterprizes, June 15, 2016)
This book recalls life on a small family farm in Western Kentucky in the 1940s. It’s a way of life that was extraordinarily rich and fulfilling, but was also devilishly hard work. It’s truly rare today for a farm family to do all of the work described, however, farmers still grow corn, milk cows, and feed hogs, but they do so in a much more business-like way than back then. Wondering if current life is as satisfactory, come with the author as the old ways are re-created in this fascinating book.

  • Behind the Walls with Tupac Shakur

    Donald Richardson, William Oree

Paperback (Independently published, June 25, 2019)
I think people should know the real Tupac Shakur - not just thug life, but real life.We were behind the wall together. I watched him battle the conflict raging within him, between the revolutionary he was raised to be and the gangster the streets wanted him to be, between the push of his talent and the pull of his environment. That internal struggle is symbolic of an entire community. And that’s why I wrote this book. Now more than ever, our young men and women are caught in a struggle: a struggle against the mismessaging of social media, the disturbing trend of overt sexuality, the lure of violence, the glorification of gang life, the push to conform to something and someone they were never intended to.Behind the Walls with Tupac Shakur, ironically, is more relevant now than ever before. It’s an intimate look through the eyes of my friend, the legend, with a powerful message for the future of Black America.

    T.A. Richardson

    eBook
Third in a series of Novelettes (between 7,500 words and 17,500) delving into the paranormal. The series, Stranger Things Have Not Happened at Sea, is appealing and has real depth. The tales are all based on ancient esoteric knowledge that the author believes could benefit humanity today. Plunge into the series and think about what the author has to say between the lines and your quality of life will improve. By way of an example research the name of the building in which the protagonist live. In this tale a working mum discovers that Genies are real. And one in particular, Iblis Hybris, has been imprisoned since the birth of humanity for disagreeing with God. For Iblis to be rescued from this punishment, all that is necessary is for one human, just one, to make a wish that is of benefit to them. History, however, shows us that human behaviour has other plans and making beneficial wishes is not as easy as one might think. Everything that has ever been wished for has gone horribly wrong for whoever has wished it.
  • Forging of Iron and Steel: A Text Book for the Use of Students in Colleges, Secondary Schools and the Shop

    William Allyn Richards

Paperback (Forgotten Books, Nov. 30, 2013)
In the preparation of this book, the author has endeavored to treat the forging of iron and steel, and the hardening and tempering of tool steel, simply enough for the High School boy and at the same time thoroughly and systematically enough for the veteran smith. A chapter has been introduced on the history of forging since it is thought to be of interest to all engaged in the work of forging metals. Another chapter on the manufacture of Iron and Steel has been inserted because it is believed that the workman should have some knowledge of the metals, and how they are obtained. It is not thought necessary or advisable to go deeply into the subject of metallurgy, or to introduce metallurgical theory. No attempt to treat specific exercises has been made; the aim has been to bring out principles. All the methods used toward this end have been thoroughly tried out during ten years of experience in teaching and supervising Manual Training. Those wishing a course of study by which to work, or to use in outlining such a plan, will find in the Appendix a course of study which the author has tried out successfully with several hundred pupils in high school, and with students in college. In order to obtain the best information possible, the author has consulted nearly every book published on the subject.Tags: steel iron imo piece welding stock tool heat hammer pieces heated fire science metal weld forging placed anvil hardening temperatureCategory: Technology and Engineering - Smithing and WeldingVisit Forgotten Books at: http://www.forgottenbooks.org
